Weekly live writing sessions · January to NAPLAN
Writing is day one. Practise it live.
Knowing how to write a good story is one thing. Planning, writing and finishing one against the clock is another. Every week, Miss Jo runs a live session where children respond to a NAPLAN-style narrative or persuasive prompt under timed conditions. Can't make it live? Every session is recorded.

Hi, I'm Miss Jo.
I've been teaching for more than 30 years. I hold a Master's degree specialising in Literacy from Monash University, where I graduated as the Faculty's Top Graduating Student. Numbers and patterns have always been my other love, so numeracy gets the same care as reading and writing.
I made this hub for parents who want to help but aren't sure where to start. There's no fear, no pressure and no promise of a particular score. It's experienced teaching and helpful practise your family can fit around real life.

Is the hub for Year 3, Year 5, or both?
Both. One membership covers Year 3 and Year 5, so a child in each year level, or one moving from Year 3 to Year 5, is covered. Every topic is labelled by year level.
When is NAPLAN 2027?
NAPLAN 2027 runs from Wednesday 10 March to Monday 22 March 2027, and every school does the writing test on the first day. Because it falls so early in Term 1, practising over the summer holidays takes the pressure off.
I'm not a teacher. Can I really help?
Absolutely! The best part is that you don’t need to do the teaching. Miss Jo takes care of that through clear, step-by-step video lessons designed for Year 3 and Year 5 students. Your child can watch, learn and complete the practise questions independently, helping them build confidence while taking the pressure off busy parents.

How do the live writing sessions work?
Live writing sessions are included as part of your NAPLAN Success Hub membership and are accessed directly through the Skool classroom. Simply click on the calendar to find the scheduled session and access the link to join. You will also receive a reminder the day before, so you don’t miss out. During these sessions, Miss Jo guides students through planning, writing and improving their responses to NAPLAN-style writing tasks.
Will this guarantee a better NAPLAN result?
While no program can guarantee a particular NAPLAN result, our aim is to equip every child with the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve their personal best. Through explicit teaching, targeted practise and regular opportunities to consolidate learning, we help students feel better prepared and more confident when sitting their NAPLAN assessments.
